I am, unfortunately, not much of an artist. But when I build a world, and start to create a “world book”, I like to do some minimal layout work – pick the right fonts, some basic colors (I am colorblind, so it’s usually really a basic choice), and so on. For Arnâron, I wanted a font that was heavy and “primitive” and felt like “desert”. I quickly discarded the notion of using a pseudo-Arabian script. I ended up liking this one:

It is called Gamera, and it’s available at Harold’s Fonts.
