Do not purchase anything from Serif or sign up for their forums etc. They keep sending me advertisement mails; I’ve unsubscribed twice already (third time today) and emailed them once. They still keep sending me their spam. This is, of course, absolutely unacceptable behavior and I regret purchasing from them. Please don’t fall into the same trap – buy your software somewhere -anywhere- else.

Public Domain Compass Rose

Just traced this for one of my own maps and decided to release it into the public domain:

The original is from a map made in 1583 by Antonio Millo.

Hope the colors are OK; I am colorblind so I can’t be sure (although I did grab them off of the original).

You can use this for whatever you want, no credit or anything needed (but of course appreciated; also if you let me know what you use it for I’d love to take a look).

You can download an SVG version at OpenClipart or the Cartographers’ Guild.
